Q: You ran on six
well-defined campaign promises, have you kept your promises?
A: I believe I
have, below I have listed the progress in each area
addressed in the '03 campaign.
Preserving and increasing our

housing improvements totaling over $1 million that we have
been able to directly invest into the Sheffield Lake housing
stock
Advancing economic development

I am a founding Member of Team Lorain County’s
Board of Directors
·
I worked closely with Ford’s governmental
liaison to reach a settlement with the village in the income
tax dispute, keeping Ford out of the public controversy
·
We are using part of the $75,000 TLCI grant we
were awarded to fund an urban renewal plan for the
redevelopment of the Shoreway area
·
I’ve been an active member of the North Coast
Camber of Commerce

launch project at Community Park

We were successful in obtaining $1.3million in
funding for the boat launch project after unsuccessful
attempts by the previous administration

I have brought the city back from being on the
brink of bankruptcy

consecutive years under the previous administration
necessitating a budget reorganization to avert
bankruptcy that included over $500,000 in cuts with
no adverse impacts to labor.

Q: Is the boat
launch going forward?
A: Yes
Although we are
behind schedule, we have gone out to bid and should begin
